Position Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to maintain our current infrastructure and advance our expansive Cloud environment. In this role, you'll lead essential infrastructure transformation projects within AWS and play a crucial role in refining our solutions. Your responsibilities will include supporting and mentoring our technical staff, driving continuous improvements in our hosting and DevOps capabilities. Collaborating closely with Product and Technical delivery teams, you'll be pivotal in executing our business strategy and establishing robust hosting foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Infrastructure Projects:Drive critical infrastructure transformation projects within AWS to enhance performance and scalability.
- Optimize Cloud Solutions:Refine and optimize our Cloud environment, ensuring it meets evolving business needs.
- Support and Mentor:Provide guidance and support to our technical staff, fostering their growth and development.
- Continuous Improvement:Implement and drive continuous improvements in our hosting and DevOps capabilities.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally:Work closely with Product and Technical delivery teams to align on goals and strategies.
- Establish Robust Foundations:Develop and maintain reliable and scalable hosting foundations to support our business strategy and ensure long-term success.
Qualifications & Skills
Hard Requirements (Must-Have):
- Professional Experience:Minimum of 5 years in a DevOps Engineer role or a similar position.
- Educational Background:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven DevOps Expertise:Strong experience in DevOps practices with a solid background in AWS and Cloud infrastructure management.
- Technical Skills:Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting Proficiency:Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Migration Experience:Demonstrated ability to migrate legacy systems to AWS successfully.
- Monitoring Tools:In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
- Infrastructure Security:Strong understanding of infrastructure security practices.
- Cloud & SaaS Solutions:Proven experience in delivering Cloud and SaaS-based solutions.
- Project Experience:Experience with both legacy and greenfield projects, with an understanding of the trade-offs between refactoring and redevelopment.
- Problem-Solving Skills:Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in complex environments.
- English Proficiency:Minimum B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Hard Requirements (Bonus):
- Certifications:AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar certifications.
- Experience with Additional Cloud Providers:Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
- Advanced Technologies:Experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, or advanced security practices.
- Project Management:Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
