Position Overview
We are seeking a DevOps Lead with a strong people-oriented approach to oversee our infrastructure maintenance and drive the evolution of our expansive Cloud environment. In this leadership role, you will guide critical infrastructure transformation projects within AWS and play a key role in enhancing our solutions.This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by combining technical expertise with strong leadership and collaboration skills, ensuring our infrastructure supports our business objectives and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Infrastructure Projects:Oversee and drive critical infrastructure transformation projects within AWS, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Mentor and Support Team:Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the DevOps team, fostering professional growth, skill development, and a collaborative team environment.
- Enhance Capabilities:Spearhead initiatives to continuously improve our hosting and DevOps capabilities, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
- People Management:Manage and develop the DevOps team, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any personnel issues. Ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally:Work closely with Product and Technical delivery teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment on project objectives and strategic goals.
- Strategic Planning:Develop and execute strategies to build and maintain robust hosting foundations, ensuring they support long-term business success and scalability.
- Monitor and Optimize:Oversee the monitoring and optimization of our Cloud environment, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Problem Solving:Address and resolve complex technical issues, providing solutions that enhance system stability and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication:Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, potential risks, and the impact of infrastructure changes on business operations.
- Promote Best Practices:Advocate for and implement industry best practices in DevOps, security, and infrastructure management to maintain a high standard of quality and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
Hard Requirements (Must-Have):
- Professional Experience:Minimum of 10 years in DevOps or a related role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position.
- Educational Background:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven DevOps Expertise:Extensive experience in DevOps practices, with a solid background in AWS and Cloud infrastructure management.
- Technical Skills:Advanced knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- People Management:Proven experience in managing and developing a technical team, including performance management and conflict resolution.
- Scripting Proficiency:Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Migration Experience:Demonstrated ability to migrate legacy systems to AWS successfully.
- Monitoring Tools:In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
- Infrastructure Security:Strong understanding of infrastructure security practices.
- Cloud & SaaS Solutions:Proven experience in delivering Cloud and SaaS-based solutions.
- Project Experience:Experience with both legacy and greenfield projects, with an understanding of the trade-offs between refactoring and redevelopment.
- Problem-Solving Skills:Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in complex environments.
- English Proficiency:Minimum B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Hard Requirements (Bonus):
- Certifications:AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar certifications.
- Experience with Additional Cloud Providers:Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
- Advanced Technologies:Experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, or advanced security practices.
- Project Management:Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Leadership Training:Additional training or certification in leadership and team management.

- Communication Skills:Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in an accessible and engaging way.
