The Role
Our business is at an exciting inflection point in its data journey. We are transitioning from foundational data practices to a more sophisticated data-driven decision-making culture. This role will be critical in helping us move towards a more mature analytics capability, enabling us to provide deeper insights and more proactive decision support. This BI Analyst will play a key role in driving this transformation, making data a core asset for the company.
We are seeking a commercially minded Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has strong technical skills in visualisation and data management, coupled with the ability to work across different business units to deliver valuable insights. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our data capabilities and will work closely with key stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, and product teams to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business success.
The will be based in Sofia, reporting to the Head of Business Analytics in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial insights & Strategy: Provide in-depth data analysis to support revenue growth, pricing strategy and commercial decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Reporting into the Head of Business Analytics, you will collaborate closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Head of Business Analytics, and departmental leads to understand their data needs and deliver impactful insights. This will provide an opportunity to influence strategic decisions and showcase the importance of data in driving business success.
- Design, Develop, and Maintain Dashboards and Reports: Create and manage dashboards and reports for various stakeholders and departments using Power BI. The data sources include CRM systems and other business platforms. The level of data maturity varies, meaning you may need to extract data from raw sources, structured star schemas or reporting through the front-end UI.
- Monthly Reporting: Execute monthly reporting tasks, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Data Extraction and Manipulation: Extract, manipulate, and analyse data in response to specific user requests, providing actionable insights that support key business initiatives.
- Data Governance and Integrity: Work closely with the CRM Manager and other system owners to maintain the quality and integrity of data across different systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout the business. This may also involve leading data governance processes and contributing to the development of Juniper's data policies.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strategic and Commercial mindset: Ability to understand business needs, identify growth opportunities, and deliver insights that drive revenue.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, finance, and leadership teams, providing insights that drive decision-making.
- Data Management and Systems Expertise: Strong experience with data platform technologies such as Azure or equivalent cloud platforms, and the ability to structure datasets within these technologies to optimise data access and efficiency of processing.
- Data Visualisation Skills: Proficiency in data visualisation/dashboarding software such as Power BI.
- SQL & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to query and manipulate data for analysis and reporting. Ability to optimise SQL queries for performance.
- Advanced Excel Proficiency: Extensive experience with Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables
- Planning and Organisation: Strong skills in managing stakeholder requirements, expectations, and in designing and delivering a programme of work. Also, ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workloads effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and the reliability of insights provided.
- Curiosity and Problem Solving: A curious mind with a passion for working things out, investigating problems, and finding innovative solutions.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in ETL processes or other data pipeline tools.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and how they integrate with reporting solutions.
- Understanding of data governance best practices.
Qualifications:
- A degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Analytics) is preferred but not mandatory, depending on relevant experience.
- Professional certifications in data visualisation tools (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus but not mandatory.
