SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER (JUNIOR)

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing SRE function. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation who wants to move beyond traditional system administration and into reliability engineering, observability, and automation.
You will work closely with senior SREs, DevOps engineers, and software teams to help ensure our platforms are reliable, observable, and resilient, while learning industry best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining production systems across cloud environments
• Help investigate incidents and participate in post-incident reviews
• Support observability tooling (metrics, logs, traces), primarily using New Relic
• Assist with alert tuning and validation
• Help document systems, run books, and operational procedures
• Contribute to automation scripts and small infrastructure improvements
• Learn how to identify early warning signs before incidents impact users
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Basic understanding of Linux systems
• Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Understanding of HTTP, networking fundamentals, and system performance basics
• Interest in reliability, monitoring, and automation
• Willingness to learn and take feedback
NICE TO HAVE
• Exposure to monitoring tools (New Relic, Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of Docker or container concepts
• Some experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Basic understanding of incident response concepts

Knowledge of foreign languages:
